Just finished a new soft pastel piece called “A BOWL OF CHERRIES (#224),” and I have to say—it feels like the cherries are practically inviting you to sneak a taste. There’s something about capturing that glossy shine and juicy freshness that made me want to reach right into the basket. Two little green leaves pop up like a surprise in the midst of all that red, and the striped basket grounds the whole thing with a cozy, homey feel. Working on this felt like a cheeky invitation—an artwork that whispers, “Go ahead, have a cherry, you know you want to.” It’s one of those small, sweet moments where the everyday feels a little more delicious than usual.
