a new pastel piece called “SMALL WATER PITCHER AND A BIG PEAR (#35),” and it’s all about the fun of unexpected contrasts. There’s this tiny silver pitcher, all shiny and delicate, sitting next to a pretty hefty yellow pear that practically steals the show. They’re perched on a purple surface against a moody background, and I loved playing with the way light bounces off the pitcher’s reflections and the pear’s natural curves.
