I just finished a new oil painting called “SAILING AT SUNDOWN (#204),” and it’s my little tribute to those calm, magical moments when the day leans into night and the sea seems to hold its breath. Picture a lone tree standing on a gentle hill speckled with tiny red and orange flowers, while sailboats drift quietly across a shimmer of ocean just as the sky softens from blue to a warm glow. I had a blast playing with the colors here trying to capture that peaceful hush right before dusk fully settles in. It’s the kind of scene that invites you to pause, take a deep breath, and maybe dream a little about where those sails might be headed.
