PASTEL VEINS OF THE COASTLINE (#209)
I just finished a new pastel piece called “Pastel Veins of the Coastline,” and honestly, it feels like I caught the beach in one of its daydreams. Imagine the shoreline taking a gentle swirl, with earthy browns weaving together like a cozy blanket, while soft blues and pinks sneak in like unexpected whispers from the sky. Then, two dark cones rise like little mysterious sentinels, standing guard over all that smooth, flowing color. I got inspired by the way the sky reflects off the wet sand and rocks at low tide—it’s like the coastline is wearing a new outfit every time you look. Working with soft pastels here was like letting the colors melt and mingle without worrying too much, just seeing where the day would take me. It’s a small piece but packed with a quiet kind of magic that feels both calm and a little bit otherworldly.
